Highly efficient electric motor
Thanks to its high efficiency, the compressor motor does not require additional cooling and allows for the elimination of an additional crankcase heater. Oil heating is carried out automatically from the compressor core to the outside, which affects the possibility of quick start-up at low temperatures, better lubrication of the system and its service life.
Scroll compressor element
The process that is directly responsible for raising the temperature in the heat pump refrigeration system is gas compression carried out using spirals. In the compressor, these spirals are made of a dedicated special metal alloy, their refined design ensures their pneumatic pressure, which reduces internal leaks and ensures high compression efficiency. During many years of use, the level of tightness does not degrade, and their service life is estimated at 25 years of operation
Scroll sealing – failure-free
The spirals do not contain seals, because their very design and pneumatic pressure seal the compressor system. The so-called floating seal causes a gentler start-up of the compressor. Such patented solutions translate into its high efficiency
and failure-free operation.
Innovative internal design
A number of advanced technical solutions contribute to the high resistance of the Copeland Scroll compressor to work in unfavourable conditions. These features include radial compliance and axial compliance. R290 Technology – A Better Tomorrow

Propane, also known as R290, is an ecological refrigerant. It is a natural gas, obtained from deposits deep in the Earth, along with the extraction of crude oil. It belongs to the group of aliphatic hydrocarbons. It has been successfully used in Kołton heat pumps for almost a decade.
Propane has very favorable thermodynamic and ecological properties. It is non-toxic and comes from natural sources, which makes it more environmentally friendly than many other refrigerants. R290 has a low global warming potential (GWP = 3) and zero ozone depletion potential (ODP = 0).
In light of the changing legal conditions regarding the restriction of the use of refrigerants with high GWP and ODP indicators, the R290 refrigerant in Kołton heat pumps is considered the most promising technology compared to traditional f-gases.
The Kołton AirAdapt heat pump evaporator is a cross-flow heat exchanger that draws energy from the outside air. A large heat exchange surface is necessary for the efficient and economical operation of the heat pump. It has been designed specifically for operation in cold climates.
The main advantages of the evaporator:
- developed heat exchange surface to maximize energy yields
- wide fin spacing which reduces the frequency of defrosting by up to three times without a decrease in the device’s efficiency and facilitates the flow of condensate after the defrosting process
- “blue thin” coating – an anti-adhesive coating, which is an anti-corrosion protection, ensures faster removal of moisture droplets from the heat exchange space through gravity flow, as well as during blow-out after the defrosting process
- lower section – the lower section built into the evaporator structure prevents ice from accumulating in the lower part of the evaporator – protects it from damage and facilitates the flow of condensate

Drip tray
Heated drip tray The drip tray is a standard feature of the Airkompakt heat pump. It allows condensation to drain from the device.
AirAdapt heat pumps are equipped with a single Ziehl Abegg fan. Its design allows for quiet operation with variable speed, which allows for maintaining the appropriate airflow throughout the entire operating range.
The contoured fan blades are inspired by the shape of an owl’s wing. This unique design leads to reduced noise emissions
compared to classic fans.
Blade lock control – thanks to it, the heat pump knows when the fan cannot start and signals the need to unblock.

A plate heat exchanger that transfers energy to the heating system. The propane stream transfers heat to the working fluid in a countercurrent energy exchange process. Thanks to the developed surface, this process is carried out with maximum efficiency.
The thermal insulation of the exchanger and the possibility of working also in cooling make it an uncompromising solution in the AirAdapt pump. For convenience and safety, it is secured with a safety valve that protects the water system.

Control – heat pump and heating management
The K600 controller offers comprehensive management of the heating system using the Kołton AirAdapt heat pump. It integrates the entire heating system by combining the automatic control of heating circuits, circulation pumps and HX and EX internal modules with the heat pump automation.
The elegant display with a modern menu design is the decoration of the entire engine room and the system command center.
What is visible and what is not visible?
Heat pump control has two sides – visible and invisible. The visible side is all the functionalities that can be edited and adjusted to your own needs – they constitute about 30% of the control system that the user can influence.
The remaining 70% are functions that are not visible, but thanks to them the system operates safely and economically. Powerful algorithms that take care of power modulation, efficiency adjustment and aspects of the device’s operation manage the system’s safety and your comfort.
Additionally, the controller enables remote communication and data acquisition for quick diagnostics, settings optimization and speeding up the service procedure.
